location of LaunchDaemons Folder?

Moved the LaunchDaemons folder to trash because some site said it would solve problem of Snow Leopard not recognizing iPod 4 when connected. Well that of course caused forever gray apple screen at start-up. Finally found trash thru Go menu after launching from clone, but not do not remember where I took the file from. Search the clone, but it still has 10.5.8 Leopard on it and there does not seem to be any folder of such name.
