Outlook for MAC 2010 closes stating there is an error

My Outlook for MAC 2010 now indicates there is an error and it must close. I have tried everything and cannot find what is wrong. Can anyone help?

MacBook Air, iOS 8.1

Hi I found a link from Microsoft to use. It is a little long and it's for out look 2011 but it should still work. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2405496

Would you know why I cannot download any apps on my 4S - you do seem to know your stuff and since I cannot seem to post, I thought I would ask you. Thanks for any reply.

I'm afraid I don't understand the question. What do you mean by apps on my 4s? What are you referring to?
