Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
If your automatic time zone is not being recognized correctly on your iPhone, then I'd like you to please follow the information outlined below.
Learn the steps to take if your device has any of the following issues with the date and time.
- Incorrect date or time
- Wrong time zone being set automatically
- Issues related to automatically switching with daylight savings time
Follow these steps. Test after each step to see if the issue is resolved.
- Ensure that the version of iOS on your device is up to date.
- If the option to enable date and time automatically is available, turn it on. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
- Ensure that your time zone is set up correctly. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time > Time Zone.
If the incorrect date, time, or time zone is being set up automatically on the device, please notify your cellular provider. In the meantime, tap General > Date & Time and turn off Set Automatically. Then set the appropriate time and time zone manually.
Note: The option to set automatically might not be available on all carriers in all countries.

Feb 25, 2015 1:35 AM in response to alex_h1by lozkelly54,Hi Alex H.
Thank you for your reply but your suggestions are all basis steps which I have taken before getting to the stage of checking the forums.
First thing I did when I realised I had a problem was call my carrier. They did not detect any problems in their network (so they say) and advised that I ring applecare. Applecare asked me to reset my personal settings, which I did. I already have the latest OS.
I have had iphones for 3 or more years and never had a problem like this before. I have had my present phone, an iphone 5c since October last year.
My timezone is set up correctly. When I take it off automatic, it reverts back to Perth.
Any more ideas?

You need to enable the location service under the privacy menu. The step's you need to do are the followingso :
Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> Setting Time Zone (Enable).
That might be work .

Dec 6, 2015 2:11 AM in response to luis.avinaby NotExiled,Thank you for the suggestion, but I tried this and my iPad still shows the wrong time zone.
When I travel I always end up having to set the time manually. My iPad only has WiFi, no cellular.
I have the latest version of iOS on it, have location services on, have it set to update the time automatically, etc.
DDoes anyone have any other ideas?
