My FaceTime contacts list has switched to the left side and is permanently on. Also it won't allow me to add contacts.

My contacts list has switched to the left side and is always on

it has a different display than the proper list and will not allow me to add new FaceTime contacts

how can I get back to the correct list on the right side?
