Can't create footer columns
I click on the footer, then layout on the right, type 3 for the columns, click enter, but it does not work. Any suggestions?

It would help to know what version of Pages your are using. If it is Pages v5 (any release), then you have no control over the header/footer segments.
5.52. I solved that problem by creating a new file and coping and pasting.
The same thing happened on the new document. The column settings for the footer stopped responding.
I think I figured out that you cannot apply columns in the header or footer. It appears the default is that they they are divided into three columns but I don't think you can change them . Is that true?
True and added bugs with paragraph formatting.

Hi ravmitterhoff,
When I installed Pages 5, it automatically converted my Custom Templates from Pages '09 and put them in the Pages 5 Template Chooser. I set my default template under File > New to my (converted) Pages '09 blank word processing template. I have single columns in Headers and Footers (I haven't found a way to change the number of columns, but I don't care).
Pages 5.5.2
I wonder what else was pulled from Pages '09 into Pages 5?
Regards,
Ian.
