I understand you say that it is not connecting, however what happens when you try and connect? What kind of security do you have set on the router, WPA, WEP? What happens if you try and remove the security on the router, can you connect then?

When I try to connect it shows "incorrect password" (even if I'm entering the correct password). I tried WPA, WPA2, WPA/WPA2, WEP, and also on no security mode. But it still has problems. Few friends of mine are able to connect their iPhones with the same router without any issue.

I tried changing the SSID and also various passwords.

    Tried changing encryption modes (AES/TKIP)

Tried resetting Network settings on the phone.

The current router mode is on "802.11 b/g/n" 20/40

I am using a DHCP dynamic IP connection.

If you attempt to connect to the router with no security, are you still seeing the incorrect password error? Have you connected to this wi-fi before? If so, have you tapped on Forget This Network, and then attempted again? Even without security? If you are getting the password error when attempting to connect with no security, then go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. While it will mess with a few other things on the phone, it will not delete any of your data. See if you can connect then. If so, then add the security back and then attempt to connect again.

In addition to Chris's suggestions, try updating the firmware for your router as that can resolve issues with certain devices not connecting.

Yes I had connected to this router successfully before. In no security it shows "unable to connect" error. "Forget this network" is also tried, in vain.

I have not tried resetting all settings. Will try this now. Thanks Chris.

@Lyssa yes I have updated the firmware too.

I'm having this problem now with my 2 weeks old iPhone 6+. in the beginning everything going great and managed to connect every wifi around me. Then suddenly 1 week ago, All the wifi from my office, home, hotel and coffee house saying either incorrect password or can't join the wifi. But when i switch on my hotspot from my iPhone 5 it can be connect. i also try with my friend iPhone hotspot. So is it because of hardware problem or software problem. And i just restore my iPhone6+ and still can't connect to wifi and manage to join hotspot (also wifi right?) regret as all my downloaded stuff vanish and now can't download back using wifi.....

    Thanks for assisting

You have a different issue. If you've restored your phone as new and still have trouble, your iPhone has a hardware issue and you need to bring it in for service.
