I agree with you. A customer should not be required to keep these third-party extensions installed on their machines if they decide they want to disable them and want nothing to do with them. The advice provided may be sound but it does not address the crux of the issue. For what it's worth, I've sent feedback regarding this matter to Apple even though it's obviously just a drop in the bucket. And while Apple may not officially monitor these discussions the input and opinions provided here serve a useful purpose as motivation to other customers who agree, to send feedback as well.

Linc is making a good point here. First, these extensions cause no harm. You can just ignore them. Second, removing the extension from the System/Library/Extensions folder or System/Library/Internet Accounts folder does NOT remove all of the files associated with these Chinese language support files. Some the related files are buried in other parts of OS X.

Linc's advise is best IMO... just leave them unchecked and ignore them.

Regardless the advice, Apple should not confuse users by placing unknown and unneeded extensions, taking up space and adding to concerns about where these thing come from and why.

They should offer up an option to add these if wanted/needed and explain why and what they are for.

Wasting peoples' collective time here or at all is simply not OK. Apple and all corporations need to consider and heed that when making decisions.
