Q: Video conversion app

Hi there, I’m looking for a good application to convert video files.

I heard a lot about Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate, and Apple Compressor.

Any suggestion?

Compressor is a compression application that has been developed by Apple over more than a dozen years. It was originally designed  for the professional market and until 2011 was only available as part of the Final Cut Studio suite of pro A/V apps. Its feature set includes transcoding to and from proprietary and non-proprietary codecs, reformatting (resolution, fps, container), standards conversion, and basic DVD and Blu-Ray disk creation.

I don't know anything about the other apps. If their developers maintain a user forum, I suggest asking there.

I should have said that I don't know anything about those other apps. If no one else on these boards comments, suggest that you try the forums for those apps.

Not Wondershare. Compressor 's good for anything QuickTime can handle. Also MPEG Streamclip and Handbrake, both of which are still free.

I use AppGeeker all the time to do this.

    Works perfectly, always high-quality.

    No one mention Handbreak?

Or this HD video converter which is available in appstore.
