Use External Samsung Surround Sound Speakers on iMac (Mid 2011)

HI All,

I am looking at the possibility of attaching a couple of external speakers which were used as part of a surround sound system to my iMac as I tend to watch most films etc on my iMac.

I currently do not have AV Receiver or DVD player or anything, just the iMac and the Speakers. I expect that I will need to purchase additional equipment but I have no idea what.

Ideally I would like to connect with bluetooth so I could connect my iPhone or iPad to the set up as well if I wanted to listen to music etc.

I have googled to see what I could find out, but it's sort of baffled me to be honest, so thought I would try out this forum and see if I can get any more insight.
