Q: Restart dormant MacBook

I have a really nice MacBook (the model below MacBook Pro) which is about 7 years old. I left it off and did not charge it for approx. 2 years and would like to get it running again. I've charged it, the little glowing 'on' light comes on but it will not start. How can I get it running again?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.4), Not sure which OS X
