I just bought a imac5 and vidoes that I have edited using GoPro on my PC that would play fine on Windows Media Player will not play on my MAC using either VLC or Quicktime stating they wont play CFHD. But it says its an avi file? Sorry, new to video editing and MACs and getting frustrated! Any help on what program to DL without paying?

Open the Mac App Store and search for an AVI translator, some are free some are not. You will have to determine which is the best for your needs.
Thanks for the reply but I did that and its still not working. The translator works fine on other avi videos but not this one. It wont convert. I have another form of the video and it is in GCS and won't play either or convert. Do I need to buy something to play my videos? Thanks for your help.
