Entered Apple ID and password, clicked on iTunes. Got message "accessing itunes store" for long time, then got message "unable to sign in"

when I tried to update the software, got message "apple tv cant connect to the server".

Make sure location is set correctly

DNS should be set to auto (settings - general - network)

If on wifi try Ethernet
