Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are not able to update iTunes. I would start with going through the troubleshooting steps in the article below as they may help with this issue.
If you can't install or update iTunes for Windows
If none of the steps help resolve this issue, see the attached information below.

If the steps in this article don't help you resolve the issue, you might be able to find a solution through a search of the Microsoft support website.
If you receive errors regarding inaccessible registry keys during installation, try the steps found in "Could not open key" message when installing iTunes or Apple components for Windows.
Cheers,
Jason H.

Feb 25, 2015 7:33 AM in response to tworoosby turingtest2,If the article above hasn't helped then for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
