Video lockup

IiPad III with 32memory using the latest update

when attempting to watch movies or purchased TV shows the video becomes out of sync with the sound and screen content stutters and fast forwards then locks up the iPad which has to be forced to restart. Ther is plenty of memory left and downloading does not change the symptoms.

iPad, iOS 8.1.3, 32gb memory
