"CONNECTED" alwaysa appears on my ipod nano gen 6

The message "connected" always appear on my ipod nano gen 6 even though it's done synchronising. There are the few times it comes to the normal Home Screen after synchronising. The only way to stop it is to eject it from my labtop not from iTunes. I am using windows 8 on my labtop and it never happended to me before on my windows 7. Anyone please help me 😟
