I movie can you save a large file to a sd card

I have made a movie of my trip to Ireland I would like to save it to a SD card so i can view on different Tvs is this possible, I have saved in Theatre and I can view using my apple Tv but i would like to Save it to a SD card or a flash drive file is to big to burn to CD I have also tried to save it on my iPad in iMovie with no success

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), iOS 8.1.3

Yes you can save it to either type of storage. Unless the flash/SD card has a very slow read speed or your video is at very high resolution you should be able to play straight form the card. Otherwise you may have to copy it first from the card to a computer and play it from there.

I don't expect you to be able to read the movie file directly on a TV (some might be able to) but usually you will have to copy it to a computer and link that to the TV via an HDMI cable. If you have a lightning to SD card reader and a means to connect your iPad to a TV then this would seem to be an option. I don't have an iPad or iPhone so I can't help much here.
