DesktopsYou can't cut off the tree-limb you are standing on. You can't unmount the Drive Mac OS X is running from to re-partition it.
If this MacBook has a DVD drive, can you run the 10.6 Installer/Utilities DVD?
Have you tried this operation while booted to recovery?

Feb 24, 2015 9:59 AM in response to howiepearsonby Kappy,Remove the Windows partition by using Boot Camp Assistant. Do not use Disk Utility unless you plan to re-partition and reformat the entire drive.

Feb 24, 2015 10:01 AM in response to Grant Bennet-Alderby Kappy,But you can unmount one of multiple volumes, just not the startup volume. Regardless, he should not do this using Disk Utility but Boot Camp Assistant.

Feb 24, 2015 10:02 AM in response to Grant Bennet-Alderby lllaass,The do that (cut off tree/limb) you are standing on in the movies all the times. Nothing really prevents that but it is not a good idea. A Mac on the other will not allow you to erase the disk you booted from. A Mac is smarter than a lot of people.

Feb 24, 2015 10:08 AM in response to howiepearsonby The hatter,Best asked in Boot Camp forum.
It, BCA, can be strange. Repair Permissions and reboot (Safe Boot even). Boot into Recovery partition and repair the drive.
If you did try and began with DU and it got interrupted...
Clone Mac OS to another drive and boot from there also.
And there is Paragon CampTuneX $19 that helps with install and manage Windows on Mac aka "Boot Camp"

The mac drive is partitioned at 239 gb and the BOOTCAMP is 511 gb.
I want to remove the BOOTCAMP and return the Mac HD to 750 gb
