How can I correct the book data without accidentally opening the book and having to navigate back to the library?

I feel like iBooks requires way too much work to navigate, because the libary doesn't start in list view, so I have to switch it to list view to do anything, and because one false move when I'm trying to correct the data will open the book instead, forcing me to navigate back.

I have bilateral arm injuries, and this is just too much.

Can anyone suggest a way to use iBooks, or a better way to read epubs?

Yes, I've tried Calibre, No, I found it even harder to use.
