How do I open a word doc on iCloud drive on other devices? Do I need an app?

I have saved a word doc on my MacBook, so I can see it, work on it, revise it, etc on my iPad and iPhone. How do I see it on these other devices? Where are they? Do I need a certain app on these devices to see this document?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2), for iCloud

Hey erinfromnb,

Thanks for the question. Yes, you will need an app that is compatible with iCloud drive that will read this file type. You may be interested in the iOS version of Word or Apple Pages. For more information, see this resource:

How do I access all my files in iCloud Drive?

[…] On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 8, you can access your files from Apple apps like Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, or any apps that support iCloud Drive.

Thanks,

Matt M.
