Photographer needing a good computer to edit on.

Hi,

First off can I just say that I am completely clueless when it comes to technical terms like RAM etc. so be easy on me haha. I am a photographer who is currently using the family computer to edit my photos which is making me want to tear my hair out with how slow it is. I always have both Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC open at the same time and edit in one and then transfer the photo over to edit in the second. I also have music on in the background too and perhaps a Google chrome page too.

I am looking for a computer that will allow me to store my high resolution photos on and allow me to use the editing programmes without any lag or delay. What would you suggest is best for me?
