Capture speech during presentation

Hi,

Is there a way to utilize the dictation feature in OS X to capture the speech while recording a Keynote presentation? If I were capturing speech to text in Pages, there would be no problem (open a new document, etc.). However, during 'record presentation mode' in Keynote, I have not found a way to convert the speech to text.

Can you record and then during the replay use the dictation or another app to convert the speech to text?

Thank you!

Record Slideshow can only record from an internal or external microphone.

Far better calibre of presentation is achieved if you record a real voice.

However, you can record a sound file from text using this:

  • Select a group of text you want to transform into a spoken audio file
  • Right click on the block of text and select “Add to iTunes as Spoken Track”
  • The audio track will then open up in iTunes
