How to close Keynote after presentation completes?

I start Keynote 6.5.2 by double-clicking on a presentation (.key) file shown in Finder or on the Desktop. Keynote is setup to automatically run the file when Keynote starts. When the presentation completes, I would like to see Keynote close (terminate) - but it stays present on-screen. Is there a way to optionally automatically close (exit) Keynote in this situation?

Press the escape key to end manually or to close automatically use a transition with a delay:

click on the slide background; Inspector > Animate > Add an Effect choose an effect, then in Start Transition, set a delay for the length of time the slide should show before closing the presentation.

My question asks how to terminate the Keynote program, not simply end the presentation.

Thats a different situation; closing Keynote ends play, what you are asking about now is how to quit.

Unfortunately there is no way to quit Keynote automatically.

All you can do is press the keyboard short cut command Q twice; once to quit play and then second to quit Keynote.
