PHP and MySQL

I would like to run a program called Tasks, but it requires me to configure PHP and MySQL, neither of which I have any idea how to do, but apparently can be done fairly easily with the Macbook Pro. PHP is apparently already enabled. Is there an "easy" tutorial for a non techie on this?

It couldn't be easier with a solution called MAMP. It is a free download here: http://www.living-e.de/en/products/MAMP-PRO/download/download.php

Instead of installing it on your system, you have php, apache, and mysql installed in an application. It runs applications beautifully with little configuration.

You will be up and going with php, apapche, and mysql in minutes.
