IMEI

Hi, I bought an iPhone my a friend in 2013. They lost the device travelling and need to claim it back on their insurance. They need their IMEI and Serial number but I can't find it on the receipt. Is there any other way to find this out? Thanks!

If you can use iTunes on your computer but don't have your device:

  1. Go to iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
  2. Click the Devices tab.
  3. Hold your mouse over a backup to display the serial number for that device. You'll also see the IMEI/MEID and CDN for your iPhone or iPad (cellular model).

Thanks.

I bought the device from Apple on my staff discount for a friend. The invoice I have from Apple does not confirm the IMEI etc

Is there someone internally that can provide an invoice/proof of purchase that confirms these details?

Basically, is there an internal department I can e-mail or would I need to go into a store?
