Thank You for the help
You're Welcome! 😁
Just remember your still image will be at the resolution of the timeline. If you're sending this image to a Photoshop geek, they're going to scream about the small image.
BTW
in my 10.1.3
I had to go to Share>add destination>+save current frame.
Before it became available in the share drop down.
There are some interesting share options in there also.

oops - excellent, helpful advice, I forgot, that my share dialogue is highly customized ..
Then how would one get the full resolution from the go pro vid it came from? Is that something that can be done out of FC10
If you can select the frame in the events then share will export full resolution...
in my quick experiment.
geoff
Ok I'll give that a try,
Thanks Chris

You can share a still image out of the viewer, can you not? If you're shooting 4k on the go pro and working in a 1080 timeline, the video is either being scaled or cropped to fit the timeline. If you export form the timeline, you're going to get the timeline's image, not the original. If you're editing a 4k timeline with 4k video, you get a 4k still image. If you're editing a 4k timeline from 1080 video you get a terrible upscaled image.
Gotcha, I did get what I was looking for and yes you are correct about the timeline image. I pulled it from the viwer
