I am trying to put all my pictures onto Icloud but I am not sure how. I am getting a new phone and not all my pictures are going over to the new phone. Should I use this Icloud Drive? Will that help?

iCloud Drive is not really for photo storage. Photos are handled with the iCloud Photo Library - this enables them to sync to the Photos app on all your devices:

Oh Okay. So how do i get all my photos onto Icloud? Do i turn on photo library? So when I get my new phone all my pictures will be transfered over to my new phone?

That's right. iPhone-sized versions get sent to your phone and larger master versions are kept in the cloud.

So I should turn on my Library and have my phones go there before I get a new phone? It says syncing photos via itunes is not supported when Icloud photo library is turned on. then says so many photos will be removed?
