Q: My MBPr menu bar changes resolution after play CK2 on Steam

after playing Crusader Kings 2 on Steam on my MBPr the menu bar is ALWAYS shown with lowered resolution, settings>resolution>change&back to original fixes it, but it's still annoying...

As you can see it is only related to Apple's icon, not custom ones....

(not upgraded to yosemite, and not willing to do so)
