Thanks for the reply, do you know of a way to mix two songs together in iTunes 12?
It depends upon what you mean by mix. You can set gapless playback so there isn't a pause but I don't think that makes them overlap.
I use a much, much older iTunes (iTunes 7.5). In my preferences next to Soundcheck and Enhancer there is the option to set a crossfade playback. I don't know if that has survived all the "improvements" Apple has made.
