Apple TV jumping when mirroring

Hi,

We've had our Apple TV about a year and up until now it has been working fine. Recently when mirroring to the big screen the image and audio starts to jump but when we play the video from a file on our laptop it works fine, it just dislikes being mirrored for some reason. Our internet signal is very good in our house and we have only two laptops demanding our bandwith, can you please advise us what to do? We've tried updating but there are no updates on the Apple TV. As I say, this is only a recent problem but it does mean we can't mirror anything on to our TV.

That will be due to the local network, internet connection isn't relevant. Mirroring requires more resources as it is sending your full computer display in realtime. Issues can come at any time.

If on wifi try connecting ATV via Ethernet. Make sure there is no there activity (other streaming, network backups etc)

To see a status of your network go to istumbler or similar to get a report. Look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks
