Hello jdracom,
To make sure that we are on the same page, are you referring to the orientation when you rotate your iPhone? If so take a look at the article below to make sure that you have the lock turned off.
If the screen doesn't rotate on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

The screen DOES rotate. The text previously enlarged when held in landscape position. It no longer enlarges.
Make sure your Display Zoom settings are correct. See:
Use Display Zoom on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus - Apple Support
Display rotates no problem. Display Zoom setting works fine. The problem is that previously to updates (2/20) the text automatically enlarged in landscape (horizontal) view. It no longer does that. I cannot find a setting to address this.
At the same link above under "Learn more" near the bottom of the page, did you check/adjust the Text Size setting as well?
If this doesn't work, a device reset may help:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
Text size also works fine. I'll try your device reset. Thank you!
No change, but thank you anyway. I'm off to the store I guess😟
Be sure and report back with what the Genius bar has to say and if the issue was resolved...it will help others in the future who may run across the same issue. According to the link I supplied above, it seems as though the text should automatically be zooming in to match the zoom of the screen. Seems odd that that particular aspect of the feature stopped working while the rest is.
