This airport base station cannot connect to iCloud

I have a 5th Generation Airport Extreme using firmware 7.6.4. I'm attempting to use Back to My Mac (have previously used it successfully, but it suddenly stopped working with no configuration changes to my Airport Extreme). I'm receiving the error in Airport Utility: This airport base station cannot connect to iCloud. My Apple ID has an amber light next to it under the Back to My Mac section in Airport Utility. When I attempt to edit the Apple ID settings and enter the password, it validates and turns green. To save the settings, I apply the update to the Airport Extreme and when I check back the Apple ID under Back to My Mac has an amber status light again.


Any ideas why the Airport Extreme cannot connect to iCloud?


I have two-step verification enabled on my iCloud account, if that makes any difference.
