My daughter has a new iPod that has Daily Horoscope installed by accident or maliciously. I have unsubscribed to the emails but can not delete it from her settings in the mail contact area.

Just what do you mean by " her settings in the mail contact area."?
Can you post a screen shot of where that is?
Assuming you mean that the Delete account button on the bottom of that screen is not active.
If you go to Settings>General>Restrictions is the Restrictions set that prevent changing accounts?
Go to Settings>General and there should be a entry for Profiles. Delete that profile. The manual includes:
Profiles settings
Configuration profiles define settings for using iPod touch with corporate or school networks or accounts. You might be asked to install a configuration profile that was sent to you in an email, or one that is downloaded from a webpage. iPod touch asks for your permission to install the profile, and displays information about what it contains, when you open the file. You can see the profiles you have installed in Settings > General > Profiles. If you delete a profile, all of the settings, apps, and data associated with the profile are also deleted.
Your a genius, thank you so much!!!
I had the same thing too! Thank you so much for how to remove it. I was looking everywhere!
HI - When I got to delete this in the profile as you described , it is asking for a 4 digit passcode. I did not set up one , any ideas?
Has anyone figured out this passcode yet?
It's the same code that unlocks your screen when your device wakes up.
Thanks lllaass for the original solution.
Thank you!!!!!
Thanks so much!!
