Feb 25, 2015 12:26 PM in response to Csound1by pmiles,★HelpfulGo to My Support Profile, login, check what products are listed for your ID. Check to see if there are any new devices listed there that don't belong to you. Remember, if you buy a device as a gift for someone else through the Apple Store, it will likely list those devices as well.

Feb 25, 2015 12:33 PM in response to Csound1by Mossmiss,Hi, thank you,
I know I should've taken a screen shot but I panicked and didn't, the message was an in-system message, an ios message, the kind that just pops up on your screen and it said something like: a new phone has been connected to your apple ID, if you haven't recently connected a new device you can ignore this message -and there was only the option to click 'OK', so that's all I could do.

I've just checked and there are no new devices, phew. But why would my iPad send me this message in error? Has anyone heard of this before?

Feb 25, 2015 12:42 PM in response to Csound1by Mossmiss,Yes, thank you, no new devices. if my Apple ID's been hacked do you think another device would show up there if someone's going to try to make purchases through iTunes with my account?

Feb 25, 2015 4:48 PM in response to Mossmissby Lyssa,The support profile doesn't necessarily show devices that have access to iMessage - I just checked my own, and it does not list the 2 computers I have for work (both were purchased by the company vs out of my own pocket).
I would recommend you change your Apple ID password, just to be safe. Even if the ID wasn't compromised, that will ensure your messages are still private.

Feb 26, 2015 6:50 AM in response to Lyssaby pmiles,MY Support Profile is ONLY going to show Apple devices that have been registered under YOUR Apple ID or those that have been added to it (the device CANNOT be associated with another Apple ID and be added to this list). If you purchase devices from the online Apple Store it will often auto-register them to your Apple ID even if purchased as a gift for someone else. You can later remove them from your profile if you wish. The key thing to note here is that you CANNOT have devices in your My Support Profile that are associated with a different Apple ID. They must first be removed from the Apple ID in which it is associated, then it can be added to yours.
So in a nutshell, unless you see a device listed there that shouldn't be there, there are no new Apple devices associated with your Apple ID.
That being said, you can use your Apple ID to login to Apple, iTunes, et al on pretty much any computer anywhere, it's not checking to see what hardware you are using or where you are located. So if someone knows your login information, they can log in.
You may wish to enable two-step verification for your Apple ID, this is designed to prevent anyone from accessing or using your account, even if they know the password. Read more about it here:
