I am trying to load Adobe Acrobat XL CC onto my iMac running 10.10.2 and Safari 8.0.3. The download stops and a message says I need to close Safari notifications. I unchecked the box to allow notifications to ask for permission, but it still doesn't work. What if I were to delete Safari altogether, would that stop the notifications? And would I be able to reload Safari? Thanks.

Thank you for your help Dominic. I read the article, but it wasn't working for me at first, then I saw where it did work for someone else after they did a restart, and sure enough it worked. So your answer was correct, but i just needed to restart. I'm an old guy who got my first Mac in December of '84, and my how things have changed! Thanks again.
