Where is my iPad back up in iTunes on my computer?

I Backed up my iPad mini on my computer with iTunes. I want to retrieve this back up to put on my iPad mini but cannot find the backup. Can anyone tell me where to look for it.

iPad Mini, iOS 8.1.3

Edit > Preferences > Devices should show the list of current iOS device backups.

Note there is normally a single rolling backup that is updated each time you sync the device.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately when I went to iTunes I had my iPad plugged into it and it automatically backed it up therefore I lost the first back up.

In future it is probably a good idea to run a backup restore cycle about once a month. This archives your old backup set and creates a new rolling backup for that device. You can use preferences panel above to remove older backups to reclaim space. I also suggest you tick the box Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from Syncing automatically which is in the same location.
