Windows 7 on Boot Camp shuts down on closing lid of MBP

I'm running Windows 7 under Boot Camp on my Macbook Pro. Each time I close the lid on the MBP, instead of sleeping, Windows 7 shuts down. Is there a fix for this problem? Thanks. I'm running the latest Yosemite OS.

Can you check in Control Panel -> Power Options, what is the action set to for closing the lid?

Thanks for your reply. The answer to your question is a bit bizarre. Initially when I checked the options under this section, the only options that were available were, "None", "Hibernate" and "Shutdown". No "Sleep option". But after I updated the Boot Camp drivers in Windows 7 and restarted the computer I noticed that the "Sleep" option was now there. I don't know why it suddenly shows up as an option. But it is there and I have selected it.

Thanks for your help with this problem.
