firefox 35.0.1 just started downloading my pdf docs in this format pdf.part

Just recently when I download files from Firefox 35.0.1 it saves them in this format- .pdf.part Any ideas why? Thanks!

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Hello! I felt like it did, but apparently not... I did learn that is an extension for partial file. Am I correct
