I can't sync my Outlook contacts to my iphone 5s

I've checked and unchecked all the appropriate boxes, but when I click on sync, nothing changes on my phone.

I have many contacts in Outlook Express, but none of that information transfers to my iphone 5S. It is very frustrating.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
