Macbook, or Mac Desktop

Hello, I am soon to be a college student in less than a year. Me, and my family are looking to buy some sort of new computer. I have no idea what the difference is between the macbooks, I also do not know if we should get a macbook or a Mac desktop. I will be home for college so that's not a problem and I hate carrying around my laptop so it will be home anyway. What should I do?

Depends on your college, you might need a laptop for your studies in school.

Evaluate your needs, decide which are most important, choose the computer that best suits those important needs. We can't tell you what to do. This is a decision you need to make on your own. Go to an Apple Store and view what the alternatives are along with their respective features and benefits.
