I can't import files such as .cbr from my PC to my itunes library

I am new to apple software, have recently bought an iPhone 5c and an iPad air 2. Very good bits of kit, but I am unable to transfer files such as videos and music albums, but more specifically comics such as .cbr and .cbz files. Any help out there for this? many thanks.
