Q: When making or receiving calls, I cannot hear the caller but they can hear me, if I use speakerphone I can hear caller

From your post I understand that you are unable to hear a person on the phone when you are holding it up to your ear.  This indicates there may be an issue with the receiver on your iPhone.  To troubleshoot this, please follow the steps in the link below.
