front facing camera freeze after 8.1.3

Hello

I have just updated my 5 to 8.1.3 from 8.1 where everything was working perfectly , now when I open the camera app the main camera is fine until I switch to the front facing camera and all I get is what can be explained as just a blurry snapshot ... there is no getting out of this until you home button it , then go back into the camera app and press the capture button then the switch to main cam .. then the main cam (back) goes to normal .. !!

sadly I have just started the update on my wifes 5 and we both now have no selfie camera 🙂

I could understand if it were one phone but for both to do it ?? something is up ..can anyone help please

I have restored , dfu restore , replaced front camera flex on my phone only to be frustrated even more ... surely this has to be an IOS issue with 8.1.3

please let me go back to 8.1

Thanks Jeff

that was one of the first apple guides I went to ... as this has happened with 2 phones now it seems a bit odd .. apple support has offered me a repair but due to this going to cost $269 I think I will just keep researching as surely someone else has had this issue ... if it comes to it I will sell them and just upgrade (maybe to samsung at this point in time)

anyone else have a fix or similar issue?
