tab alignment on decimal, Pages Version 5.5.2 (2120)

Product Name: Equipment - MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013)

OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.2

Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core 17

Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Program: Pages Version 5.5.2 (2120)

I have a decimal character "." in order to tab on the "." for alignment.

What key(s) do I press so the PAGES will align on "."?

The TAB key itself works well otherwise.

Hi Rusty-Nails,

Set tab stops in Format Panel > Text > Layout > Tabs

Click on the + to insert a tab stop. Choose Decimal from the Pop-Up Menu.

On the Menu Bar, View > Show Rulers.

There is a tab character after 'text'.

I dragged the tab stop (blue circle) to another position.

A tab is a tab, you of course need to have a period in the text for it to align to it.

If you are having problems it is because there is no period, too much text to fit, or text after the text with the period without a tab break.

Peter, thank you for your help. That group of letters with a period in them would not work due to the first tab stop being one space to short. Therefore, the group of letters jumped over to my second tab stop. Your answer allowed me to see my error. Thank you, again.
