Help - Mac is VERY Slow for gaming/Video - Etrecheck Report Included

my macbook.

13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008

Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB

Software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)

I recently updated to Yosemite and notice a severe drop in my mac functioning. It was getting way to hot and would run very slowly to where it was unusable. So i cleared the HD and reinstalled all the way up to MLion thinking that this would be a good fix for my problems. Well it still is having a very hard time! Games and videos play even worse than before as well as the mac getting super hot. At this point im desperate for my mac and gaming to go back to how it used to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here is the Etrecheck report.

it just seems strange, at christmas is when i updated my Ram to 4GB and also updated to Yosemite. I downgraded to 10.8.3 now.The game im speaking of i was able to play perfectly with just 2 GB of RAM. Now it just gets so hot and you can noticeably tell the heat is causing it to run this way. When i completely cleaned off the HD and reinstalled everything, how can it still be running just as bad as it did with Yosemite?
