automatically compress files on upload

Hi,

I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite and now when I try to save files for backup on Onedrive or Google drive the files get automatically compressed upon upload. First I thought this was a Onedrive issue so I've been in contact with their support but since the same thing happens on Google drive it has to be a problem with OS X Yosemite. I have tried to use updated versions of Safari, Firefox and Chrome to do the upload and the result is the same.

I also already tried to download the pictures that I uploaded and they are compressed in size compared to the original when viewed on my computer again.

I need to be able to backup my files without them being compressed, how do I stop this from happening?

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)
