I have received an the following email twice now:

Dear Customer,

Your Apple ID was used to purchase Tribal War App on a computer or device that had not previously been associated with this Apple ID. .

The download was initiated from AR , United States.

If you initiated this download, you can disregard this email. It was only sent to alert you in case you did not initiate the download yourself.

If you did not make this purchase, we recommend that you go to https://itunes.apple.com/ref-082736 to cancel the transaction, Confirm that you're the owner of the account and then follow the instructions.
Regards,
Apple

I know nothing about this and do not know how to combat it. Has anyone any ideas?

This is a scam - a 'phishing' attempt to trick you into entering your account details. The first giveaway is 'Dear Customer' - genuine emails from Apple will address you by name. The second is the link, which though it looks like an Apple address actually leads to radiologie-lagrandemotte.fr/last1.htm. Don't follow the link. You can report this to Apple by emailing as an attachment to reportphishing@apple.com - then just bin it.
