ipod nano does not appear in iTunes

i got that same steamed feeling. I've tried everything recommended by apple. the ipod works just fine except the new version can't seem to find it now. The final answer from apple was that the ipod needs to be fixed; $103! One small problem though, they said to back it up since the repair deletes all content-yeah, right, only 3K songs! Think i'll drill a hole in it, insert a hook and see if i can catch $103 worth of salmon!

I have two different ipods.

Model: PB732LL

Version 1.0.4 PC

Model is: MC027LL

Version 1.0.2 PC

NEITHER will work with the latest version of iTunes. It says it can't see it, but it is there. Then you can't do anything and it says something about not seeing the disk. Trying to work with it and iTunes gets all screwed up and won't re-start.

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with either of these ipods.

Something in the latest version of iTunes is not compatible with these two units.

FIX IT APPLE!
