Macbook Air 13in Yosemite: When I try to print directions in apple maps both preview and printed page contain blurred text

Trying to print directions from Apple Maps on Macbook Air running Yosemite 10.10.2.

The text in preview and on the printed page is blurred.

Even when I alter print quality to high I still get burred fuzzy text; in other applications the printed text is fine.

Any help appreciated.

I see it too - it is the fault of the program. With Maps running go to the Maps menu and select Report a problem. Click on "My problem isn't listed" and then the Continue button. In the text box, describe what you see. That might lead Apple to improve this feature.

I think this is a case where printing is an after thought. I seldom use Maps on the Mac and when I do I send it to my iPhone. I also find the Calendar map function useful in that it can tell me when I need to leave to arrive on time for my appointment. But again, I don't depend on Maps for directions, it goes to my iPhone. If Apple engineering made assumptions about how the program would be used (as I think they did) and their assumptions were wrong then one part of the program was short changed because - "hey, who's gonna use it?" Letting them know you are using the feature might get it improved.
