Feb 26, 2015 9:16 AM in response to emery gby emery g,I have a13" mid 2014 .mac book pro with retina display.I have the power adapter plugged in but have no place to plug in the line with a rectangular shielded plug.All my books are back in Maine so can't tell you the name of the port.Sorry.

Feb 26, 2015 9:28 AM in response to emery gby Phil0124,Your 2014 MacBook Pro should have 2 Thunderbolt ports and 1 HDMI port. We need to find out what plug your Cinema Display has.
Does the Plug look like this:

If so, then its a DVI connector. And you would need a Thunderbolt/Mini Display Port to DVI adapter.

If not, look on the underside of the Display's frame or base/stand, there should be a model number there.
