my new Apple TV won't mirror my devices, even when airplay switched on

my new Apple TV won't mirror my devices, even when airplay switched on, everything up to date and on the same wifi network. It worked once today for 20 minutes from my iPhone, but nothing happens now from either my macbook or iPhone. Help!

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Thanks for responding. Have done that, nothing changes. Also switched off and on all devices, again, nothing doing. Any other suggestions welcome!

Just sorted it by switching off bluetooth on all my devices and restarting. Random but worked!
